Seeking a Youth & Young Adults Pastor to lead the ministry to young people and inspire a generation to know and live for the Lord……
12-16 hours per week
This is an exciting gospel opportunity for an experienced and growing disciple of Jesus to make a significant contribution to a church that has a strong history but is in transition towards a fresh new season.
This is a part-time position remunerated for between 12-16 hours per week, depending on individual circumstances.

Oaktree Anglican Church is a Charismatic Evangelical Anglican Church in Melbourne’s Inner South East combining the parishes of St. Mary’s Caulfield and St. Clement’s Elsternwick.

Vision for the Role
This role of Youth & Young Adults Pastor will involve the significant responsibilities of:
Praying that young people would be passionate followers of Jesus
Leading the Friday Night Youth program as well as the Sunday Morning Connect Group ministry
Overseeing the youth leadership team with support and training
Organising the communication, meetings, events and retreats that build this community of young people
Seeking connection with teenagers and young adults from surrounding schools, universities and the local community so that the love of God in the good news of Jesus Christ would be known by many
While much work will be done directly by the Youth & Young Adults Pastor, there is a significant need to empower the members of the church to support and encourage this ministry. There will need to be ongoing team building, training and guidance for the appropriately gifted members of the church.

Effective in Bible teaching and preaching for youth and young adults

Ability to manage change
Relational skills across all ages and stages
Ability to pastorally care for individuals and groups
Ability in organisation and administration
